Hoy celebramos el Día del Bioquímico en conmemoración al nacimiento del Dr. Juan Antonio Sánchez, quien en 1919 dio los primeros pasos hacia la creación de la carrera de Bioquímica, al presentar ante la Legislatura su proyecto de Plan de Estudios para la creación de la Carrera de Doctorado en Bioquímica y Farmacia.

La bioquímica creció a pasos agigantados en nuestro país, y especialmente con las circunstancias sanitarias que atraviesa el mundo entero se tornó mucho más visible, su siempre determinante aporte a la salud. Por citar solo a modo de ejemplo, es importante mencionar que dentro de la práctica clínica habitual, se estima que el 70% de las decisiones médicas que se toman se basan en el diagnóstico que proporcionan los bioquímicos.

Por eso en este día, queremos destacar la importancia de la tarea de todos nuestros matriculados.

Nuestro reconocimiento y agradecimiento a quienes honran la profesión de manera responsable, comprometida y humana en cada uno de los espacios donde se desarrollen.
